MGA PINOY MAHILIG MAGPUNO NG ESPASYO

Marami ko nang beses napatunayan na mahilig talagang magpuno ng espasyo ang mga Pinoy. Ayaw ng Pinoy ang kapaligirang masyadong plain o walang kaarte-arte. Kapag nakitang walang nakasabit sa dingding, kinabukasan lang ay nakasabit na roon ang diploma ni Utoy, ang graduation photo ni Ate, ang cross stitch ni Nene, ang painting ni Tatay kasama na ang isang kalendaryo, orasan at larawan ng mga paboritong artista.

Sa hardin, hindi lang sari-saring bulaklak ang nakatanim. Sa likuran ay sari-sari ring punong-kahoy at ibat'ibang klaseng gulay ang nakatanim. Mahilig gayahin ng mga pinoy ang kantang Bahay Kubo na napapaligiran din ng sari-saring uri ng halaman.

Tingnan natin ang jeep. Hindi pwedeng simple lang ang dekorasyon. Dapat ay makukulay at punong-puno ng arte ang loob at labas ng sasakyan. Kung anu-ano ang nakasabit - "Jeepney Driver, Sweet Lover!"," Magbayad nang Maaga Nang di Maabala!", "God Knows Hudas not Pay!", at kung anu-ano pang nakapaskel at nakabitin.

Hindi pwede ang simpleng kuwaderno lang. Dapat ay may balot itong matitingkad na kulay na papel kasama na ang iba't ibang disenyo. Tapos lalagyan ng mga larawan ng paboritong artista o manlalaro. Susulatan ng kung anu-anong kasabihan, etc., etc.

Sa mga handaan, hindi pwedeng kokonti ang laman ng mesa. Dapat ay hindi na makita ang ibabaw ng mesa sa dami ng putaheng nakapatong dito.

Sa labas, hindi pwedeng walang nakakabit na billboard ang mga lansangan at mga anunsyo at poster sa harap at gilid ng mga tindahan. Pati poste ng Meralco ay sangkatutak din ang nakapaskel na anunsyo.

Hindi uso ang plain white t-shirt. Dapat ay may naka-print din doon kahit na numero lang. Pati nga katawan ay hindi IN kung walang tattoo.

Sa mga opisina, parang walang ginagawa ang isng empleyado kung walang kalaman-laman ang kanyang mesa. Lagi nang tambak ito ng mga papeles at mga gamit-pang -opisina.

Kapag may bakanteng lote, isang linggo pa lang ay punong-puno na ito ng mga iskwater. Ang estero ay punong-puno na ng mga basura.

Parang malulunod ang Pinoy kapag nasa gitna siya ng disyerto. Hindi siya sanay sa payak na kapaligiran. Tila nakakadama siya ng pag-iisa kapag masyadong maluwang at maaliwalas ang paligid.

At kung susuriin ang blog ko, di ba punong-puno rin ito ng kung anu-ano? E kasi, PINOY AKO!

GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS!

Nakakagaan ng pakiramdam kapag nalaman mo mula sa survey ng SWS (Social Weather System?) na bumaba ng 8.20% ang mga nagugutom nating kababayan. Mula 23.7% noong Disyembre 2008 naging 15.5% na lang ito ngayong Marso 2009.

Magandang balita ito kung tutoo ang survey at maganda ang paraang ginawa sa pagkuha ng istadistika. Dapat sanang tinanong muli ay yong nakausap noong nakaraang survey para malaman kung talagang hindi na sila dumaranas ng gutom.

Masamang balita kung kaya bumaba ang mga nagugutom ay DAHIL NANGAMATAY NA SILA!

Kawawa naman sila, di ba Detektib Gapo?

Daniel Dingel - Genius or Insane

With the unstoppable increase in fuel, many become curious with the water-powered car of Filipino inventor, Daniel Dingel. The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that Daniel Dingel built a water-fueled automobile engine as early as 1969. Dingel has no patents and many members of the science community feel that his water-powered car is a hoax. However, Daniel Dingel has demonstrated his car without any technical papers or explanation as to how it works. And if it does work, a water-powered car would be a fantastic invention.

Daniel Dingel claims his engine has a chamber that breaks apart water molecules to produce combustible hydrogen. Electricity from a 12-volt car battery is used to split the water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen components, with the hydrogen then used to power the car engine.

Dingel already demonstrated his invention on TV and yet even the Philippine government has no support for his genius invention.

Obvious naman ang dahilan: dahil kapag tutoo ang imbensyon ni Dingel, mawawalan ng malaking kita ang gobyerno sa buwis ng langis. Ayaw nga nilang alisin ang VAT dito, hindi ba? Hayun at dito raw nanggagaling ang ipinamumudmod nilang P500 para sa mahihirap sa pagbabayad ng kuryente, sa munting puhunan para sa maybahay ng mga drayber at sa mga senior citizen 75 idad-pataas.

Dito nagpapatunay na hindi talaga nakapokus ang gobyerno para maibsan ang paghihirap ng mga mamamayan dulot ng pagtaas ng langis na kakabit ng pagtaas ng lahat ng bilihin. Kung tubig ay pwedeng magpatakbo ng mga sasakyan, bakit ayaw suportahan.? Mas marami namang pagkukunan ng tubig kaysa pagkukunan ng langis, di ba?

Masasabi kong bobo ang gobyerno sa hindi pagpansin sa imbensyon ni Daniel Dingel. Naipakita na nga ang pruweba sa TV ay ano pa ang gusto? Bakit naman ikukuha ng patent ni Dingel? Eh di nagaya ng mga manggagaya!

Nakakalungkot nga at ipagbibili na yata niya sa ibang bansa ang imbensyong ito sa kundisyong kukuha ang sinumang makakabili ng 200 Pinoy na manggagawa.

Bakit hindi na lang tayong mga OFW ang magpondo sa imbensyon ni Dingel? Kaya naman natin, di ba?

Once again, Roderick "Jerick" Ternida grabbed the Over-All Champion title at the Musclemania Universe 2008 on June 20-21, 2008 in Miami Beach, Florida. This year, Jerick proved to himself and to everybody that a 1 year hiatus was all it took to make a great comeback, beating all the other contestants from all over the world.Last year, Jerick had an injury and did not compete. He took that opportunity to train at home in Manila, Philippines (Cainta) and focus for this year's show. These pictures show the mark of a true champion!

Filipino kids dominate robotics tilt in Taiwan

MANILA, Nov. 29 (PNA) - A team composed of Filipino students defended its title at the 2007 World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Taiwan with its entry featuring a community with robot-operated security measures including a building which can protect itself from air terrorist attacks.
The entry dubbed “Operation Security Guaranteed” was built within a WHIZ Community where a Gatekeeper is responsible for analyzing the personal information of every robot by swiping a key card.
The team came from Grace Christian High School and is composed by Bryan Lao, Alyssa Sheena Tan and Mark Ian Tan. Under the guidance of coach Edster Sy, they won at the Open Category (Secondary Level), all winners of the 6th Philippine Robotics Olympiad held last September at the Alabang Town Center.
Their project has Spybot 101 which monitors the city’s vicinity, Firebot 103 which is the best firefighter of the “Bantay Sunog” Fire Department and Policebot which is a humanoid security guard that assists the Gatekeeper in taking care of unwanted guests in the community where Goodbot 107, a citizen of the WHIZ community, lives.
The entry also features a PRT elevator or Philippine Robo Transit which guarantees fast, convenient and safe travel; a TREN, which is a fast train system; and a hydraulic building named TAIPEI 101, the tallest building in the world, which can raise itself in the advent of an air terrorist attack similar to 9/11.
The Philippine team has won twice in a row in the annual competition participated in by over 800 students or 170 teams representing 18 countries. Participant countries include Denmark, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, State of Qatar, Sweden, Taiwan, and United Arab Emirates. All teams used the LEGO Educational sets as materials for their robots.
Last year, the Philippines bagged its first gold medal in the WRO with FAITH’s entry of "Rossum's Universal Restaurant, El Batangueno Coffeeshop" which featured a mini-diner with robot customers, a waiter, receptionist, security guard and a "Robo Band" consisting of robot musicians.

Ang tatlong kabataang Pinoy ay kinapanayam ngayong umaga sa programang "Umagang Kay Ganda" ng ABS-CBN.

Kita talaga ang galing ng mga batang Pinoy!

NOCHE BUENA

My wife's nephew - Jimsen - and I had our Christmas Noche Buena in a hotel in downtown Jeddah Street. We had kare-kare and pancit bihon. We thought of ordering halo-halo, inspite of the cold weather but we were already full that we passed the dessert.

Ang ibang mga Pinoy sa aming kumpanya ay nagluto ng pancit bilang noche buena. Wala raw silang datung kaya hindi sila sumama sa amin.

JALOSJOS and the New Bilibid Prison Chief

If you think that the replacement of Gen. Ricardo Dapat by retired PNP Director General Oscar Calderon as Bureau of Corrections chief is the result of Rep. Romeo Jalosjos escapades, you are WRONG.
Palabas lang naman ito. Talaga namang papalitan na si Dapat. Ayon sa sabi-sabi, bago pa umupo si Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, ayos na ang mga appointments sa loob ng kanyang panunungkulan. Ibig sabihin, meron na talaga silang terms of office. Pinagpapalit-palit lang sila. Hindi ba inalis si Angelo Reyes at pagkatapos ay binigyan ng bagong pwesto?Syempre gagawa muna sila ng kwento para mailipat sa ibang pwesto.
Politics is like showbusiness and vice versa. And speaking of Jalosjos, the convicted child-rapist is yet to announce his apology to his victim. Pinalalabas pa niyang inosente siya. Hindi na nahiya! Kapal ng mukha! Matanda na siya! Dapat na siyang magpakabait! Madali namang magpatawad ang mga Pinoy!

BARON GEISLER is OUT

Baron Geisler is out of the Pinoy Big Brother House. After being drunk for the second time, Big Brother gave him a forced eviction. It is not the drinking that make his final adieu but his uncontrolled behavior after too much alcohol.

Hindi kaya ni Baron ang epekto ng alak. Nagbabago ang kanyang katauhan. Nagmumura siya sa loob ng bahay, hindi lang sa kasambahay maging kay Kuya. Kahit na sinasalamin niya ang ibang Pinoy, hindi ito magandang ehemplo sa mga kabataan lalo na't isa siyang artista na iniidolo.

Nais ipakita ng Pinoy Big Brother ang KATATAGAN ng mga PINOY at hindi ang kanyang KAHINAAN. Kung nakontrol ni Baron ang sarili sa pag-inom, baka siya pa ang tanghaling winner!

Matatandaan na ang kalasingan din ni Baron ang naging dahilan ng kanyang pagkakabangga kamakailan.
