James Magnussen of Australia is this year "Aquaman" after winning the 100m freestyle at the Shanghai World Swimming competition on Thursday, 28 July 2011. The 20-year old world champion Magnussen from Port Macquarie with a time of 47.63 seconds beats Canadian Brent Hayden (47.95sec) and Frenchman William Meynard (48.00). Magnussen will try to get the elusive gold medal at the London Olympics next year.
