Like the Indians here in Saudi Arabia, sardines or tamban in Filipino, is one of the favorite fish of the Filipinos.
I bought this fish because it gives a lot of omega 3. In addition, this is the cheapest fish here in Saudi Arabia. Before, it only costs 2.50 Saudi Riyals a kilo. Nowadays, it costs between 4 - 8 Saudi Riyals depending on the season.
Unlike in the Philippines, the tamban here is quite big. It measures from 7 - 8 inches long and has a width of 2 inches. I cooked my sardines in the turbo to come out with broiled sardines.

Today is 11.11.11
Today is 11 November 2011 or 11.11.11. I photographed myself to have a remembrance on this rare date.
On this day at lunch, I ate rice, broiled sardines (inihaw na tamban), string beans salad and banana.
