Philippine Passport Application By Appointment

Director Andre Estanislao of the Department of Foreign Affairs's Passport Division said that the application of Philippine passport is by appointment only. In this case, applicants do not have to wake up early for the line or avail of fixers.

To set up an appointment, applicants would either have to log on to http://passport.com.ph for DFA-OCA Aseana; http://megamall.passport.com.ph for DFA NCR-East; http://galleria.passport.com.ph for DFA NCR-Central; and http://manila.passport.com.phfor DFA NCR-West; or call the hotline at 737-1000.  Also available are special lanes for senior citizens, infants and minors below one year old, persons with disabilities (PWD), and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). Applicants have to choose the date and time of available schedule.

At the scheduled date, new applicants must bring an NSO certified birth certificate supported by valid IDs such as driver's license, PRC ID, SSS ID, voter's registration and school IDs for minors.  School yearbook could be used as a supporting document. DFA does not honor Postal or Philhealth ID.

For passport renewal, expired or about to expire passport and photocopy of the front and back data sheets are needed. Passports shall be released within 15 working days for those who paid P950, 7 days for express fee of P1,200. By paying an additional P120, passports could be delivered at home anywhere in the Philippines.
