KZ Tandingan of Digos City, Davao del Sur beat Gabriel "Gab" Maturan of Dapitan City and Marikina City's Daddy's Home with 55.45% of text and online votes to win the First X Factor Philippines singing competition on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the PAGCOR Grand Theater in Paranaque City. Charice Pempengco is the mentor of the 21 year old vocalist. KZ won P 4 million in cash and a recording contract with Star Music. KZ said that she will donate P1 M to her local church.
Second place Gab Maturan under Martin Nievera's mentorship with 33.32% of votes won P100,000 while Gary Valenciano's Daddy'd Home with 12.22% of votes won P50,000.
