Devastating Earthquake in Turkey

A devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck near the eastern Turkish city of Van at 13:41 PM yesterday, 23 October 2011. Many deaths occurred in the town of Ercis, close to the Iranian border, where dozens of buildings collapsed. As of today, the casualties are estimated to be close to 300.
