Aussie Michael Martin Caruana Found Alive Malling

Michael Martin Caruana, a 55 year old Australian, was found alive and kicking when we was traced by hiesfamily in Australia when he used his credit card. The information was relayed to Venus Jane Galvez of Bulacan, the Aussie's bride-to-be, who picked up Caruana in a hotel in Malate. The couple was ecstatic seeing each other and vowed to have their cancelled March 29, 2012 wedding on Tuesday,  April 3, 2012.

According to Caruana, he became scared when Galvez did not arrive on time to fetch him at the airport. The girl blamed heavy traffic for the delay. Caruana was harassed and later convinced by a taxi driver to take him to Pearl Manila Hotel, where the couple stayed previously. However, the driver dropped him off in another hotel after asking a fare of P1,250.00. Without Galvez's contact details and mobile phone, he roamed around a mall in Malate in a chance of bumping his girlfriend. The couple met on an online-dating site.

My Reaction:

I am happy to know that Michael Martin Caruana was alive when found. However, I do not buy the idea that he does not have the contact numbers of Venus Jane Galvez because I believe that this is the first thing that you should have when traveling to a foreign country. In an ABS-CBN report, the reporter mentioned that Caruana did not call Venus because he does not have a cellphone. Granted that, the hotel has lots of phones. And if he registered his name correctly in the hotel log book, the receptionist could have known him since he was on the news.

Why it took 10 days for Caruana to surface? My guess is he might have another girl whom he might also considering to marry. Well, this is only my perception. I might be wrong. I am happy to be, this time.

Jan Slater Young Wins Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited

Jan Slater Young, the hunk businessman from Cebu City is the winner of Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited edition. This is my prediction although the grand finals will only be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

My prediction is correct: Jan Slater Young is PBB Unlimited Grand Winner!

My "hula" is based on the performance of Slater in every voting stages wherein he was one of the nominees. This was strengthened in yesterday's last eviction night where he got the highest percentage votes of 49.51% which is more than twice of the second place. Aside from this, he has a broad fan base. With the eviction of Divine Maitland-Smith who also hails from Cebu, it would be a solid Visayas-Mindanao block. Also, Slater is the second popular housemate in my blog, next to Tin Patrimonio. And with the financial capabilities of his family and friends, Jan Slater Young is indeed the Grand Winner of PBB Unlimited!

My prediction never fails me. I hope it will this time because I wish Biggel or Pamu to win for their financial freedom although I presume that they will have already slots in the entertainment world because of their humble character. For sure, Paco Evangelista will also a big winner because Kuya likes him very much. He will also in the ABS-CBN shows.

Grand Winner = 40.02% = Slater won P2,000,000, a water filling station, home appliances, etc.

2nd Placer = 21.49% = Annielie Gerez Pamorada won P1,000,000 and home appliances.

3rd Placer = 21.39% = Joseph Emil Biggel won P500,000 and home appliances

4th Placer =  17.10% = Paco Evangelista won P300,000.00 and home appliances

Rayver Cruz Denies Breakup with Cristine Reyes

Dancing star Rayver Cruz recently denied the rumored breakup between him and sexy star Cristine Reyes. He also brushed off the idea that Piolo Pascual was the cause of the split due to the closeness of Piolo and Cristine in the set of Dahil sa Pag-ibig.

Rayver was puzzled with the rumor citing that both of them are busy that's why they rarely see each other. However, there is constant communication between them.

I believe that Piolo is not  really and will never be the reason if ever Rayver and Cristine say goodbye to each other. But I also believe that because of prolong absence, the rumored breakup will soon be a reality. If that happens,  I think I know someone who will be happy.

Why Nobody is Contacting You for a Job

My company is in need of a planning engineer to work here in Saudi Arabia. While waiting for days for our recruitment agency in the Philippines to send us resumes for possible candidates, I tried to google the WWW for resumes. I was lucky that I found some. Unfortunately, I have to pay the websites to know the contact details of my prospects.

CAUTION:  BEWARE of SCAMS!

I tried again and it was the same. While posting your resume/CV/bio-data in the job websites for free, the owners of this sites require prospective employers to pay for a fee. It's fair considering that it is a business. However, not all employers, private and public, are willing to pay a fee. In this case, job seekers are losing their chances to be employed since employers cannot access their resumes on line for free.

In this connection, I advise that job seekers post their resume in their Facebook account, in their blog and other pages to be searched by prospective employers. However, care must also be observed in answering online employers. You must research for the background of the company before committing yourself. Some are only scams and could victimize you. In your resume, do not put your full contact address. An email is more appropriate. You should also highlight the position/s you are applying for and update your resume every now and then. Happy hunting!

CORONING is the New CRONY

After the popularity of the term "NOYNOYING" which subtly referring to the inactivity of the Philippine President Benigno Aquino III or PNoy to the economic problems of the country, another term is also circulating in the social networking site. The term is "CORONING" which refers to the close relationship of Chief Justice Renato Corona with ex-President (in Question) Gloria Macapagal Arroyo for beneficial favors and vice versa.

Coroning is closely related to the term CRONY which is a" term describing an economy in which success in business depends on close relationships between business people and government officials. It may be exhibited by favoritism in the distribution of legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks, and so forth as described in WIKIPEDIA. The term also refers to the person in the relationship with the government.

The term crony became popular during the regime of President Ferdinand Marcos. With Coroning, appointees of the President will get beneficial treatment if they engage in business and other economic endeavor.

Chief Justice Renato Corona is currently under impeached proceedings with the Senate while then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is under hospital arrest for election sabotage.
