Today is 11.11.11

Today is 11 November 2011 or 11.11.11. I photographed myself to have a remembrance on this rare date.

On this day at lunch, I ate rice, broiled sardines (inihaw na tamban), string beans salad and banana.

String or Snake Beans

Sitaw or String/Snake bean is one of the favorite vegetables of the Filipinos. That's why I immediately bought a half kilo when I saw a Bangladeshi selling them outside our Camp. The sitaw costs me 4 Saudi Riyals ( P45 or about $1). String beans are one of the ingredients in making kare-kare. They can also be put in sinigang or made into adobong sitaw. I just steamed mine as a salad and partner to fried or broiled fish.
