Piolo Pascual Admits He's Gay!?

An inhibited Piolo Pascual

My eyes were tired and sleepy yesterday, 27 November 2011 while watching “The Buzz”.  I was also yawning and was about to close the television when KC Concepcion appeared on the screen with Boy Abunda. I am no fan of KC so I decided to reach the on/off button of the set.  However before finally reaching it, KC shed a tear and began performing the best “act” of her career. I was hooked. In spite of my sleepy eyes, I was able to grasp the gist of her thoughts. More than anything else, she and boyfriend Piolo Pascual had called it quits.  My tired and droopy eyes and mind won.

When I open my eyes again, I heard the voice of Piolo Pascual candidly admitted that he’s gay. My first reaction was indifference because I was expecting the revelation all along. Piolo was being suspected to be a bi-male long time ago. He was been rumored to be romantically linked with other effeminate actors and singers such as Erik Quizon, Sam Milby and even Yul Cervo. I read also in one blog that he had a pilot lover.
I am not into showbiz rumor because I knew that many of the intrigues and blind items were merely fabricated by managers and writers to boost the popularity of the actors/actresses concern especially when they had a movie or a show to promote. This so-called “normal” norm in the entertainment industry was revealed to me by a friend and former magazine editor.

Piolo Pascual & Erik Santos

With or without this intrigue and rumor about the sexual preference of Piolo Pascual, I knew from observations and readings that he is showing some signs of gayness.  The photos and video on this post will somewhat prove that. I respect the opinion of others about this hunk actor and I believe many of his fans will do anything to disprove the malicious accusation and defend their idol. This also happened in the case of Rustom Padilla and international singer Ricky Martin. In the end, these two brave persons shouted to the world their true identity and felt “free” ever since.

Piolo Pascual & Sam Milby

In fairness to Piolo Pascual, I do understand his hesitant to declare his sexual preference. He is afraid that it might be the end of his career. He is afraid of what his son and family might think and do. Nobody in showbiz directly asked him if he is gay or not. Even Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda do not attempt to shot the question. Maybe they want to defend the dramatic actor. Maybe because they are friends and it’s rude to ask that. Or probably, they do not want to know the truth or afraid that what they think maybe true. In doing so, nobody should accuse Piolo Pascual of being a cheat because he never declared that he is 100% a man. He also did not deny that he is in fact, a gay.

Yul Servo

With the break-up, Piolo has been freed from a dark shadow. As he admitted that he is now gay and happy, he is hoping that his fans and family shall understand and respect him. He shall openly show his “love” to whoever is his lover at the moment. He cannot blame anybody for his being. The extra Y chromosome in his body is more dominant that’s why he is showing more of the female behavior. He cannot blame God for His creations are all perfect. It is human who makes the imperfection.

As I reminisced the crying KC Concepcion in the square tube, my pillow dropped from my bed. As I reached it on the floor without opening my eyes, I heard the hissing sound of the TV. I lazily opened my sight s and saw nothing on the tube. I reached the on/off button and pushed it. I realized then that I had been dreaming.
Before closing my eyes again, I saw the photo of a smiling Piolo Pascual pasted on the wall of my friend’s room where I was lying. Indeed, he is gay... and happy, too!

Seth - The Bold & Bald Fil-Am Housemate

Not much has been said about Seth, the Fil-Am housemate in the Pinoy Big Brother UnliNight house that's why I was not able to complete a profile of him. Even in the official page of PBB  ABS-CBN website, no detail information has been posted and even his picture is scarce.

Seth entered the PBB UnliNight house last week with a task of pretending to be Luz's husband and convincing the other housemates to side with him with regard to Luz leaving the House with him. He won the hearts of the housemates and Kuya made him an official housemate this weekend.

=======
Today, I gathered some information on Seth as published on PBB website. Seth Russell Cox is his full name. He is 32 years old and originates from Lapu-Lapu. Cebu City. He was born on November 5, 1979 and a Filipino citizen although he has foreign blood.

Neil Etheridge

Seth likes to play football and prefers the color red. Angelina Jolie is his favorite actress and he listens to Zac Brown Band.

KC Concepcion Confirms Split Up with Piolo

In a taped interview for "The Buzz" today, 27 November 2011, a crying KC Concepcion admitted that she and boyfriend Piolo Pascual had parted ways. KC did not mention any third party involved but she mentioned that Piolo's attitude contributed to the break-up. She felt that she gave it all and Piolo did not do much in return.

Piolo Pacual

KC also mentioned that she was not the one Piolo needs in his life. However, she also admitted that it was also her fault because she insisted on continuing the relationship. Although, KC is mad at the moment, she did not mention any ill-feelings and bad words for her boyfriend.

Sharon Cuneta

As adults, Mega star and KC's mom Sharon Cuneta believed that her daughter will get through it. This break-up made the two of them more closer together.

=========================
KC Concepcion is everything a lady. Every man wants her to be his wife. Yet, Piolo Pascual blew it all away.

I am quite right from the beginning of this KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual relationship. I hope that the real reason for the break-up is not the gender problem or sexual preference of Piolo which was always been thrown on the dramatic actor. If this is the case, now is the right time to admit. The fans are forgiving.

Super 12 Pinoy Jr MasterChef Elimination - Nov 26, 2011

Yesterday, 26 November 2011, another kiddie cook was eliminated from the Jr. MasterChef Pinoy Edition. Before that, the botttom 8 of the Super 12 faced the Pressure Test where they have to cook the signature recipe of the Guest/Judge Chef  Jessie Sinsioco.

Chef Jessie Sinsioco presented her zanzibar, proudly named " Princess Carmen" in honor of her mother. It is a dessert made of layers of pistachio-flavored meringue and butter cream.  In preparing this sweet, the pressure point is on the making of of cooked & crunchy meringue, soft and fluffy fillings, the plating and the coulis - a thick  sauce made from pureed vegetables or fruits.

After tasting and judging, the best "Princess Carmen" was in this order:

1. Kyle
2. Mika
3. Jobim
4. Acee
5. Emman
6. Philip
7. Caitlin
8. Tricia

Obviously, Tricia Baylosis was eliminated in this cooking show. She was presented with the Super 12 Jr MasterChef trophy. Her parents escorted her out of the pantry.

Tricia Baylosis

After eliminating Tricia, the remaining 11 kiddie cooks were grouped according to the color of boxing gloves they picked out. The Green team was composed of Patrick, Miko, Philip, Caitlin & Acee. The Yellow team included Kyle, Iain, Bianca, Emman, Mika & Jobim. The Green team was headed by Guest Chef Carlo Miguel while the Yellow team was headed by Chef Hasset Go.

The two teams were featured in a boxing match on a boxing stage where they have recreated a "surf and turf dish", a main course composed of meat and seafoods.

8 Filipino Christmas Traditions & Icons

Christmas or Pasko is the most sought-after and popular holiday of the Philippines. As predominantly Christians, It is the time of year when the Filipinos wait and adore the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas season, which begins from 16 December until the first Sunday of January, is also the time for family reunion. It is also during this time when most Overseas Filipino Overseas (OFWs) and balikbayans from different parts of the world came home and visit their native land.

Christmas is not Christmas in the Philippines  without these 8 famous Filipino traditions and icons:

1. Simbang Gabi or Midnight Mass – usually hold at night or midnight from 16 December until 24 December, the Chritmas Eve or Misa de Gallo or Rooster’s mass. It is believed that whoever attends this ritual mass without a break will get his/her wishes.

Midnight Mass in Calgary

2. Bibingka – native delicacy mostly prepared during Christmas. After the Simbang Gabi, eating bibingka or sponge rice cake is a must. In fact, eating it is  synonymous with the Mass.

Bibingka
(image from www.pinoycook.net)

Bibingka is a rice flour cake baked with preheated charcoal in the bottom and at the top. To prepare bibingka,  old harvest rice (laon) and water  are left overnight. In the morning, the rice is then grinded with the traditional stone grinder (gilingang bato) or the commercial grain grinder. The rice flour (or galapong) is now mixed with sugar ,egg and vanilla essence. The mixture is then transferred carefully in a special clay dish called bibingkahan lined with a round-shaped banana leaf. Another piece of banana leaf is placed on top of the mixture. The clay dish is then placed on a clay/stone stove where a preheated charcoal is used as fuel (panggatong). A piece of tin with lived charcoal is also placed on top of the clay dish. After 5 – 10 minutes, your bibingka is ready to serve with salabat or ginger ale, made by boiling cut ginger and sweet potatoes.  While hot, the bibingka is spread with margarine or butter and sprinkled with sugar. It is then dipped or eaten with coconut meat.

Bibingkahan

For special bibingka, the top of the mixture is garnished with salted egg or itlog na maalat (or itlog na pula, because of the color of the shell) 2 – 3 minutes before it is removed from the flame. Instead of salted egg, some put kesong puti (white cheese), or goat cheese.
3. Puto Bumbong –  literally means steamed glutinous rice in a bamboo cylinder. Puto bumbong is a special delicacy with delicate preparation. The rice mixture is cooked over a special cooking implement called “lansungan”, a kettle shaped heat steamer with 2 protruding tubes holding the bumbong or bamboo canon or cylinder. Cooking time is very fast . To make a puto bumbong, you can follow this recipe here.

Puto Bumbong

Lansungan

4. Santa Claus - is the most recognizable icon of Christmas even in the Philippines. As Christmas is becoming commercialized, Santa Clauses of many shapes and sizes are found in almost all big department stores and shopping malls. Capturing a souvenir photo with Santa is a precious memorabilia.

Santa Claus

5.Mangaroling or Singing Christmas carols - is becoming to be confined to Christmas concerts and parties. In the past, children singing Christmas carols in exchange for few coins is a lively tradition. I still remember my days when I and my cousins rounded the nearby streets singing Christmas carols starting on the beginning of Simbang Gabi until Misa de Gallo. The money we collected are divided equally among ourselves. Nowadays, very few children are doing this great Christmas tradition.
6. Parol or Christmas lantern - making and hanging Christmas lantern in the windows, in front of houses, trees and streets makes the season more lively. Nowadays, traditional parols are beginning to be replaced by commercially-made lanterns with elaborate designs and lights. However, the spirit remains.

Parol

7. Belen or Nativity - making belen remains a tradition in many parts of the Philippines. A belen is usually composed of baby Jesus in a manger, His mother Mary and step-dad Joseph. Lambs and other domesticated animals, the herders, angels, the 3 Kings and the North Star complete the scene. Nativity in many sizes is found

Belen

8. Ninong at Ninang (Godparents) - are two of the most popular persons during Christmas. These godparents or sponsors,  either during Baptismal (Binyag)  or Reconfirmation (Kumpil) are well-visited during Christmas day by their inaanaks or godchildren. Ninong and Ninang are eexpected to give gifts (money or toys0 to their inaanaks on this special day. Those who tend to hide are dubbed "kuripot" or stingy.

DOJ Department Circular No. 41

The following is the complete text of the controversial Department of Justice (DOJ) of the Philippines Department Circular No. 41 which was used by the Philippine Government to bar former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her family to leave the country. The same circular was questioned by the Arroyos for its legality where in fact, it was promulgated under her administration. This only happens in the Philippines!

DEPARTMENT CIRCULAR NO. 41               JUNE 07, 2010
CONSOLIDATED RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE ISSUANCES AND IMPLEMENTING OF HOLD DEPARTURE ORDERS, WATCHLIST ORDERS, AND ALLOW DEPARTURE ORDERS

Philippine Embassy Riyadh Website

I just copied the website of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and the above is what I got. I was disappointed going to the site because of the loading time. It was very slow. I think the problem is the layout of the site, although I am not a techie to back me up. Anyway, many knew that a colored background makes your site to load slowly. What I do not like in the site is the use of the red color in the background as if the Philippines is at war. Also the use of red texts in most of the posts are also annoying. To the webmaster who maintain the site, please modify it. Your services are slow but please let your site load faster!

Foggy Morning in Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Because the changing of season is about to happen, from spring to summer, I woke up with a foggy morning on 19 November 2011 here in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The mist is too thick that visibility is almost zero. You need to light up your headlight to see the coming traffic.

The Stone Lady Crumbles

The controversial mugshots of former President (?) Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo

While the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was known as the Iron Lady, former President and now Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo can be called the Stone Lady. She is compared to a stone because of her facial feature. Most often than not, her face was devoid of emotion. In order to look authoritative, her head is always up and her mouth expressionless as if to be conceived as “masungit” or “mataray”. I guess her prolong heading up is the reason why she got this disease on her neck bone since this is not her natural posture. Naipit baga ang mga nerves sa leeg kakaingos niya upang maipagpalagay na matapang kuno at nasa kontrol.

After her infamous mug shots were spread in some major newspapers and in the internet, the once powerful woman of Asia is a picture of sick, sluggish, depressed, anorexic and downfallen leader. It is ironic that the same DOJ (Department of Justice) circular No. 41 which was promulgated during her administration is the same basis on which she and her family was bar to leave the country. In essence, she was fried on her own oil!

With numerous cases filed against her, the Stone Lady is crumbling. She was pronounced to be very sick by her doctors in St Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City although the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) warned that if these doctors were telling lies about her true conditions, they could lose their licenses. Militants want her to be treated as ordinary accused. Special treatment accorded to former head of state must not be granted on her since her presidency is under question. If former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo manipulated the 2004 election against actor Ferdinand Poe Jr, then she could not be a genuine president of the Republic of the Philippines because she is considered a cheat.

Only few Filipinos resent what the Commission on Election (Comelec) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) has done to file a case against her. Even her constitutional right to travel was taken away by the DOJ on the premise that she might elude her cases. As Senator Ping Lacson puts it, “Ang nakakaawa kay Gloria Arroyo ay walang naaawa sa kanya.”

Majority of the Filipinos believed that justice must be served whoever you are. The wheel of justice is now against the Arroyos. What is more depressing for the former president is not the power that she had before and lost but more on the tarnish that was placed on the name of her father, former President Diosdado Macapagal. The good legacy left by her father was overshadowed by her greed to stay on power. As we put it, karma takes its toll on her.
