In spite of the People's Power support of Filipinos, Mexicans, Asians, Filipino-Americans, Mexican-Americans and Asian-Americans in the United States and around the world for the Filipina-Mexican-American Jessica Sanchez, full-blooded American Phillip Phillips won the 2012 American Idol today, May 23, 2012. The triumph was made possible by the influx of votes from mostly white Americans of different descents. The last performance of Phillip Phillips on Tuesday,. May 22, 2012 which made all the judges stood on their feet together with the audience added to the votes from reluctant voters.
Despite the defeat, supporters of Jessica Sanchez still rally behind the 16-year old singing goddess on her journey to stardom.
