The business of snack manufacturing is a very lucrative business. In the United States,  the total salty snack sales amounted to 27 billion U.S. dollars in 2017, making it the top selling snack category. This trend may be similar the world over as snacking is an integral part of human's life.

To be successful in the snack food industry, a company has to be creative, innovative, and always on the fore front of the very discriminating taste of the consumers. One strategy to be abreast with other competitors is to produce a unique and tasty snack especially for children in spite of the parent's disapproval of salty snack.

Kellogg's is one industry that produces a double "salty" snack by introducing its limited edition of Pringles Salty Egg Flavour. Not only it contains the most salt or sodium, the flavour is also "salty".  However, this dehydrated and crispy potato snack is not at all bad. And not that "salty" as well. Kids and adults alike will surely approve its salty egg flavour. This flavour fits to the Asian palates, as salted egg is part of their food consumption.

Pringles Salted Egg Flavour comes in a set of 6 with each container holds 134 grams. The sodium content per 25 grams serving is 118 mg. Health authorities recommend salt intake of 1,500 mg per day. Taking more than 2,300 mg of sodium is not recommended for those with history of high blood pressure because it can increase the risk of heart disease. Eating the whole container of Pringles Salted Egg Flavour a day is still in the healthy range, as long as it is not combined with other salty snacks or foods. Moderation is the key.

At the moment, the Pringles Salted Egg Flavour is available in Australia only at Costco
