My Stopover

In a couple of days, I will be reaching my stopover. Although the road seems endless, rocky and tiresome, I made it through. I might know all the things that I passed by but definitely I have got insights on most of them. The things I knew and learned will be part of my being that I would like to share with people I will meet along the way.

Rocky road

My journey will not be pleasant and rewarding without the helping hands of my boss, my co-workers, classmates and group mate. It was a three month travel and yet it seems short and fast. Maybe because I was not aware that I was travelling at all. It's like strolling aimlessly with a purpose in mind. Another essential knowledge and understanding are added to my backpack - tools that I will use to educate young minds.

Oasis

I thought it would be all rugged and boring. I thought I will not reach an oasis. Because of my determination, I passed all those hardships and challenges. There are some sleepless nights and empty stomach, of saying "no" to an outing of sort. But because I believe that I can do it, I shall now have this privilege of having some good night sleeps, good foods and companions. I shall rest my aching feet and exhausted mind in the days ahead, to be ready in my next trip.

Guiding Star

As I bid farewell temporarily to my friends, I say "thank you" to the one who guided us during our journey. Without you Ma'am Malou, this trip may be dim and lonely!

A Good Start

The start of the trimester seems just right. I was able to manage my available time more economically to study.

 100 Prozent

The first traditional assessment of true – false quiz was given after the first two lessons on the nature of assessment. It was a good start because I got a perfect score in the first attempt. I just hope that I will maintain my standing throughout the trimester.

If I can do it, you can, too!

I CAN DO IT!

Image

The second trimester for my Professional Teaching Certification course at UP Open University starts on 7 September 2013. This trimester I only undertake one (1) subject. This is because I was overwhelmed with my work and study last time. With full time employment, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, six days a week, undertaking 2 PTC subjects was really a big challenge. My schedule was too tight that I needed to wake up early to study before going to work. Sometimes, I said “NO” to some shopping and leisure dates for the required updates of my journal.

However, at the middle of the trimester, I was able to utilize maximally my available time to complete my study. Contrary to what Michael Jordan said in the Nike advertisement –“Just do it!” – I echoed more appropriately with – “I can do it!”  - especially when I found out later that I finished my 2 subjects very satisfactorily.

I hope that this coming trimester, I can still shout the same cliche with more vigor.
