The pass mark in the Australian Citizenship test is 60% INCLUDING answering correctly ALL three mandatory questions on the Responsibilities and Privileges of Australian citizenship. It means that although you answer correctly 19 of the 20 questions, you can still FAIL if that one question that you missed happened to be under the Responsibilities and Privileges subtest. It is UNFAIR? Yes, but it is the current rule made by the Howard government.
The 20 questions Australian Citizenship Test is composed of
1. Australian History - 5 questions
2. Australian Government - 5 questions
3. Our Land, Our Nation - 4 questions
4. Responsibilites and Privileges of Citizenship - 3 questions
5. Australian Values - 3 questions
