I've seen similar documentary on tevee about the life of people who survive from snippets which they referred to as “pagpag” “the act of recycling, trading, and consuming such goodies from restaurants”. I felt bad because it mirrors the severity of the poverty in the Philippines, a reality that some of us won’t even acknowledge. I guess we should all learn to embrace this awful fact and the collectively do something about it.
