Ex-First Gentleman Jose Miguel "Mike Arroyo" announced in the media that Negros Occidental Rep. Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo, Jr. died in London today, January 26, 2012.. His life support was removed after being brain dead due to a heart attack on Wednesday night. Congressman Iggy went to London for liver treatment last year.
When I saw him last year on an interview to support his older brother Mike, I sensed that his health was deteriorating. Whether he is "Jose Pidal" or not does not matter anymore because only him, Mike and God knew who was telling the truth.
One of the virtues of Congressman Iggy Arroyo is the saving of his big brother Mike from scandals and controversies. He could be perceived as the best brother in the world but Filipinos cast a doubt on him. As such, i suggest this epitaph on his tombstone:
