Saudi Women Can Participate to the Shura Council Next Year


His Excellency King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has expressed that Saudi women can be appointed to the consultative Shura Council and even "have the right to vote". This was a good news for activist who have been calling for greater rights for women. The King announced this milestone at the opening of the new term of the Shura Council. This changes will take effect next year.
